A deposit of materials cost plus one half of the labour cost (£.......) is required to commence work. Once the deposit is paid, the scheduling dates can be confirmed. This leaves a balance of £......... to be paid upon completion of the dress. The deposit is non-refundable.

 

The client must agree to as many fittings as are required in order to guarantee the desired outcome. The designer agrees to as few fittings as possible to guarantee the desired outcome, the need for each fitting being at her discretion. The client must wear the shoes and underwear intended to be worn with the garment to every fitting, otherwise the fitting may not be able to be carried out.

 

If the client requests significant design changes* after the toile is made and fitted there may be a calculated hourly fee added to the balance of the dress to accommodate the changes as well as  possible additional materials cost.  The delivery date may also be affected. This will be discussed at the time of the requested changes. The designer will not make any changes until approved and agreed to by the client. No changes can be made after the fabric is cut.

 

If there are design changes required by the designer to make the garment more suitable, these changes will be discussed in advance with the client, and the client will not be responsible for any additional charges.

*Significant design changes refer to changes to the overall look of the dress, differing from the agreed upon design. These include changes to pattern, silhouette, fabric, etc. Normal fit alterations including hem length, taking in/letting out are not considered design changes.
